History

2009

TSL started life as a southern branch of a Glasgow-based subcontractor. This is why our name stands for ‘Topek Southern Limited’, but we’re known by the abbreviation, ‘TSL’.

2010

Four members of staff delivered 13 projects throughout the year.

2012

As the business expanded separate divisions were created for Small Works and Major Projects so the needs of every project could be fully accommodated.

2013

We broke official ties with Topek after mutual owner Ian Harwood sold his shareholding in Topek, making us a standalone company.

2014

Wilmcote House, Portsmouth, was our largest refurbishment project to date. The building went on to win multiple Passivhaus accreditation awards as an important step for the improvement of affordable housing.

2015

Due to business growth and success, we made the move over to Ralls House in Denmead to accommodate new staff levels.

2016

The business completes it’s first rebrand to TSL and focuses on blue chip clients with commercial real estate, working on live and occupied buildings as a niche specialism.

2017

The team completed our first fire remediation project in Bristol. This project was key in our knowledge development as remediation projects now form a vast majority of our current portfolio.

2018

Following a management buyout the business becomes fuelled by a desire to do things differently. Our core values were established, and the TSL Experience was born from a dedication to customer relationships. Revenue hits £5.5m and our team totalled 18 passionate staff.

2020

Our first major works stadium project was completed at Twickenham following a small works project at Wembley stadium. The first multi-disciplined job at the Radisson Hotel was also completed as a Contractor, including full demolition.

2021

We completed our largest fire remediation scheme to date, acting as a Principal Contractor. Our Board of Directors was established following the promotion of Commercial Director, Connor Hounsell.

2022

Dedicated departments enabled the growth of our building envelope services with each team delivering a core part of our progressive vision. The team grew to 45 members, and we moved to our new HQ, Birch House. Lewis Jones was promoted from Head of Sales to Strategic Partnership Director.

2023

Revenue hits £38m, with 115% year-end growth. We’ve formed long-term partnerships with student housing providers and specialise in managing fire remediation portfolios. Our team has grown to 68 members, making us more knowledgeable and passionate than ever.
